The best salad spinner I have used.

I have tried four other salad spinners, crank type, cord-pull type, etc., and have not been satisfied with any. Some slid around on the counter, some were awkward to use and one simply retained too much sand and dirt in the inner basket.
I bought both the large and small sizes in stainless steel and am perfectly satisfied. The weight and the non-slip base keeps the bowl in place and the inner baskets spin easily and have just the right sized mesh openings. I use the little one for de-hulling sprouts, which can ordinarily be a chore but is very easy, especially with the sprouts that have very tiny seeds that cling to the sprout root threads.
The large bowl easily handles very large leafy greens without crowding and I find it especially useful for removing the sand from split and coarsely chopped leeks.
In my opinion, these are well designed, efficient and attractive. No need to hide them away as, unlike the plastic ones, they will not discolor. |

| This is such a great product. I used to have the plastic version and I broke it. I was so glad when they made it in steel. It is easy to clean and very durable. |

This is expensive. But in my book, anything that encourages you to eat more greens is worth the money. I got this little salad spinner by OXO, and it has completely exceeded my expectations--I use it every single day.
We eat a lot of salad at our house, but he larger salad spinner was just too big for two people. This small(er) spinner is the perfect size to clean enough lettuce to make two Big salads. Before, I would try to clean my lettuce in the larger spinner and it would brown before we could eat it all. This one takes up less space in the fridge, it's more manageable, and there is no waste. It's also attractive to look at and you can serve in the stainless bowl. Forty bucks is a lot to spend, I know. But for me, it's worth every penny. |

| Have already the full size salad spinner from Oxo, but found this is very useful when preparing a salad just for myself. Also, they stack nicely one on top the other. Excellent purchase. |
